You can help Bija beat childhood cancer
According to childhood cancer statistics reported by CureSearch.org, "each year, the parents of approximately 15,700 kids will hear the words 'your child has cancer.'"
- every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer
- 12% of children diagnosed with cancer do not survive
- children's cancer affects all ethnic, gender, and social economic groups
- the average age of children diagnosed is six
- more than 40,000 children undergo treatment for cancer each year
Erica Nunnally established Bija's Foundation specifically to work with children who are battling cancer.
Pay for a Parent
This is a direct sponsorship of a parent for one Gift of Space day retreat. When you opt to Pay for a Parent, you are covering the cost ($200) for a single participant to experience a Gift of Space wellness retreat near their primary hospital. At Bija, we believe in the power of the one to one connection. It doesn't get much more powerful than this.
Open donations help to further develop our programming including, but not limited to, our ZenPals program. With your contribution, the Foundation's volunteers and staff have the potential to reach 144 children each day. That's 720 children each week. Or 37,440 guided meditations provided each year to improve the lives of the 40,000 children who are diagnosed each year. This is huge! Without contributions like these we could not continue to do the work that we do. Every single dollar makes a difference.
